The CB 1 Eco gantry car wash has been designed specifically for fully automated washing of all normal passenger cars. It’s aesthetic simplicity and basic practicality makes it ideal for car rental and dealership type companies. The new CB generation incorporates all our technical know-how and years of experience in this field to provide plants engineered for technical reliability, simple operation and high quality washing results.
Once the required washing program has been activated, the gantry travels over the car to perform the selected cleaning tasks.
- Phase 1: In the pre-wash (optional), depending on the plant’s configuration and equipment, special cleaning agents are applied.
- Phase 2: High-pressure pre-wash (optional) cleans the vehicle sides and sills.
- Phase 3: Contra-rotating brush arms, equipped with either Polyethylene bristles (PE), Carlite Foam brushes, or a combination of the two gently remove any remaining traces of traffic film.
- Phase 4: Drying after rinsing with a drying agent ensures an optimum finish.
Modern microprocessors control the washing program automatically. The current drawn by the electric motors during the brush wash is measured and the required positions of the individual brushes computed. The brushes always operate with exactly the right contact pressure. The roof dryer follows the body contours at a precisely defined clearance and stores the essential vehicle data, such as length and position of the wheels (model including wheel washers). A choice of two different control panels is available but the washing programs can also be started by means of other control units, such as card readers or Codax terminals.
The switchgear cabinet is easily accessible and well protected in the gantry’s left-hand column. The right-hand column accommodates the water distributor and the cleaning agents. Two large, wide-opening front doors protect the technical equipment and provide fast and easy access for servicing. All equipment is also accessible from the other side after simply removing panels from the columns.
As the plant is exposed to damp conditions and cleaning chemicals, it has to be effectively protected against corrosion. All steel components are hot galvanized and powder coated. Doors, panelling, screwed joints, the roof dryer and guide rails are made from high-grade plastics or stainless steel.
The side brushes are mounted on the rear of the plant to give the front a smooth, clean and attractive appearance.
